Name that Blurry Ant #103 (24 April 2009)

It looks like a Crematogaster. The only thing I can find that looks like it though is Crematogaster voeltzkowi. I have a feeling I am very wrong though.

I agree with Ant Catcher11. It looks like a Crematogaster. Islands off the east coast of Africa seems a little out of Doctorant's area, so I'll guess something a little closer to home, Crematogaster...

Oh, if you don't mind me asking but, has there been any info you have heard about the genetic research of T. caespitum and the possible new species? I assume no, but I was wondering about it recently.

Thanks for posting this Doctorant! Hymenoptera Name Server does not recognize C. missuriensis, but some rummaging on the Internet turned up C. minutissima missuriensis, which HNS accepts as valid....
